This video caused me to throw my head back in shame and say "Oh wow...." because I am so unworthy to be His. I have not suffered for Him and I don't know what I would do if I were. I don't understand His love for me or any other human being on this earth, except of course, people like this man who have suffered for His name. I just can't accept His love sometimes because it makes no sense. Why? Why does He love me? Jesus appeared to me and reached out His hand to me and lovingly smiled...Why?

Tortured for political actions in the job of Komintern and secret services CIA....not for Christ Jesus...ha....
-
god asked me what my name was. and I said, slapnuts. so what? I thought you knew everything. then nothing happened. the end

Having heard his testimony- several years before his repose, I could only weep as he gave gently his prison experience of the presence of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ! Christ came into this "hell" with His glorious Resurrection Light dispelling all lies from the enemy Satan...He has been purified from self-love-as Orthodox Christians tell us from Russia also - by sufferings, --all externals fall away. Orthodox believers with joy exemplified Living in Christ even thru death!
-
I am from Romania and I am so glad that I was born after communism fell because I don't think that I have the faith to go through what this person did. God would have been ashamed of me because I would have given up hope and just died especially in the solitary confinement!!
-
Our world needs to get back to the sacrifice of these types of Christians. Where we pray for those who harm and hurt us. Where we use every opportunity we are given even in bad situations to show the Love of Christ. Many of us probably won't end up in a Romanian prison for our beliefs but if we were threatened with imprisonment, torture, or death, how many of today's Christians would take it all and consider it an honor to suffer for Him?
-
@radurambo You despise him because he's not a communist? hahaha. That's probably why so many millions die every stinking time a communist gets in charge of anything.
-
@MPaulHolmes I did NOT say that he is a communist. I despise him because he is a RENEGADE. Any christian should be a communist, too. Jesus himself was a communist.
-
@radurambo I've read the wikipedia article. What are you talking about?! He's put in prison for 14 years because he believes in Jesus and believes faith in Jesus is incompatible with atheism (duh). Then you say that he's a communist because he was a communist when he was an adolescent (read the wikipedia article for that information). He became a Christian when he was around 30 years old. Do you seriously believe what you are saying? He's a communist? His whole life says otherwiise.
-
@MPaulHolmes Paul moron, you can google the renegade RW on Wiki, for instance. And recall that somebody said that he likes treason, not traitors
-
@radurambo He was a communist? ROFL. Quit saying stupid things on here.
-
Why isn't his name as well-known as Bonhoeffer?
-
@daltonagre I know that. My problem with this guy is that he was never a Christian, unless his God is a God of fury and avenge. Compare him with another jewish christian, Nicolae Steinhardt and you will undesrand my poin. I have read a book of RW full of hate. HAte is not christian, no?

@radurambo From Wikipedia: "Richard Wurmbrand ( 1909 – 2001) was a Romanian Christian minister of Jewish descent. He was a youth during a time of anti-Semitic activity in Romania, but it was later, after becoming a believer in Jesus Christ as Messiah, and daring to publicly say that Communism and Christianity were not compatible, that he experienced imprisonment and torture for his beliefs. After serving five years of a second prison sentence, he was ransomed for $10,000"
-
@daltonagre Sre you sure? he was also a communist. Worse, he was a trairor of communist ideas. If he is in heaven, Judah is there, too.
-
Richard Wurmbrand is alive in heaven. The communists of Romania are in hell or living in shame.
-
Oh the rewards god must have showered on him in heaven I would be blessed to have a box next to his mansion in heaven. And the torture of those who tortured him the wrath of god must be terrible
-
@MrEyeBlack Did you really?? I just finished reading his book yesterday...and I am still amazed at how he expresses himself. That must have been a VERY interesting conversation.
-
I met this man personally and I talked to him many hours. truly a man of god. but he is from romania, not armenia.
-
I made a 7minute short film about one of Wurmbrands encounters while in solitary confinement. It's here on youtube called:
Taps on the Walls

@Bearkiller777 I remember his gentle spirit, his sense of humor, but the talk we had was 30 years ago. I remember that in spite of the pain of wearing shoes, he wanted to go the next day to walk through Muir Woods. Muir Woods is in Marin Co, CA just north of the Golden Gate Bridge. He did got the next day!
Narrow Way Studios...Romania is not even close to Armenia. He was born, and imprisoned in Romania, not Armenia.
