Here is audio of President Barack Obama re-taking the Presidential Oath of Office on January 21, 2009. He did so as a result of a flub that took place on Inauguration Day when Chief Justice John Roberts mixed up the words of the Oath, and Obama repeated it incorrectly. Roberts again administered the Oath at the White House on the eveing of January 21, 2009. No video was allowed, but this audio has been released.
This made the first failure of Obama as the President.

@Eddyisrich403 The President of the United States officially assumes the office at 12:00 PM EST on January 20th. An oath is just required for him to, according to Article 2 of the Constitution, "enter on the Execution of his Office". Technically President Obama did not take the oath (the first one) until 12:05 PM EST. Anything he would have done acting as President (such as if he signed a bill) during those first 5 minutes could technically be invalid.

wait if he screwed up on the 20th than we had no president for one full day

@truthisgold Both President and VP take an Oath of Office. Both are similar, but spoken differently.

Great he fucked it up a second time. Its a simple 35 words, he shouldn't be adding words or leaving words out.
Now he should have to do it a third time and get the 35 words done correctly.

I, A— B—, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.[8]"

sorry brkcmo93 but u made a mistake in your description. It's not Obama who repeated incorrectly, but rather Roberts who didn't say the sentence in the right order !
