*** I would like to add a comment due to someone thinking I was cruel to have him outside and let him beg to come in...
Duke will paw at the door whether he is outside 2 seconds or two minutes... the instant you go to open the door, he bolts, it is a big game to him, he prances and fakes left and right! He is NOT left neglected outside EVER. Thank you.***

  • This vid is a scream. Was just surfin for oes clips since i've had my own for years. This guy looks big, or is just the coat? One hundred and ten pounds? The tail is docked, i trust? I'm told that the tail is not being docked in europe and Austraila and some people are not doing it here, aggh! What a beauty, nice big teeth and jaws. Females are sweet but i'm a bit more partial to males for size, strength and activity level.

  • @seekermike007 Believe it or not he is quite under-sized! He is only about 90-95 lbs!!! The tail is docked, we got him when he was a bit older, and that's just how he was when we got him :) He IS beautiful, silly, loyal, goofy and way smarter than he looks. He hides his intelligence a LOT, he chooses when he shows it, the little bugger, but he is VERY WELL LOVED!!!

  • I lost my dear OES this week after 10 lovely years together. He was a unique character and your video reminds me of the great time he gave us, i wish i could have him back, I miss him madly

  • @tjhicks100 I'm SO SORRY to hear that... It's such a heartache I know... Sadly, Duke's "dad" and I just split up 2 months ago, and Duke is living with his "dad" because I couldn't take a large dog like him to an apartment, so I feel like I have also lost him (though I can and have visited him) - he goes bananas when I show up at the house and it is nice to know he hasn't forgotten me - and I know you will never forget your OES - keep your memories, and enjoy them- DD

  • Hi everyone- I have received many messages from so many of you who have had their own OES and have lost them sadly. All of you have said that my video has made you smile - I'm so glad for that, it makes me feel lighter :) Someday it will be me - but I hope it won't be for a very long time. Thanks for writing me!

  • @deebersdolan It made me smile too. I lost mine six years ago. She was my soul dog. Ive had other dogs but, none like her. I still miss her so.

  • hahaha adorable :D

  • I come to see this video every once in a while, this just puts me in a really good mood haha he is so cute

  • I have one now

he was in the streets and I love him so much

  • I love it! Duke looks just like Carson , my Old English. Who knew they did windows?

I don't know what I would do without Carson. He is an amazing pet. I hold him in higher standard than I do a lot of people. They live to love, and love to live!

  • OHMIGOD, your guy reminds me so much of my boy Harley. He just turned 7 the other day, he's 110 pounds, and he's a complete goof. And yes, they're a LOT smarter than they want you to believe... :>)

  • I love it so much

  • So nice to see. My old english sheepdog passed away 20 years ago but i see him when i see other old english sheepdogs thanks for the nice video of Duke :)

  • @tjhicks100 That's really sad :(

  • he's sooo cute!! :) I want him for myself LOOOL xD

  • I will own an Old English Sheepdog one day, I have always wanted one because they're so full of energy! And the goofy look they have all the time, its enough to cheer anyone up if they're down.

  • Lol this video is awesome. Your dog is super funny.

  • @MrSkwisgaar13243 For those of us who have been into the breed for a long time and value the tradition and uniqueness, thanx for choosing to dock and not have a dog that is mistaken for a bearded collie or labradoodle.

  • @seekermike007 I have one for years and her tail got docked, I don't think they suit long tails to be honest.

  • terrible video! oes want to be with their people, lock them out and you will have this clown ,seemingly windscreen action , it really is a cry,' let me in' the owner of this dog is a sad person!

  • To some of the posters alluding to the oes intelligence. An old english is not a border collie. An old english is not a german shepherd. Each dog has its strengths and weaknesses.

  • shashashasha ESSE CACHORRO É MUITO ENGRAÇADO!

  • hahhahahahhahahahah so cute

  • Okay, can't stop watching. this is officially my very favorite you tube video EVER.

  • But I wanted to say, perhaps your sheepie is licking the window and pawing at it to see why you are not opening the door and what you are doing in there. He's trying to make up for the hair in his eyes. I think he's brilliant and I loved this video. Anyone who thinks their sheepie is 'dumb' (not you, I think you know how smart your dog is), but any of you posters, you don't spend enough time with them, and you're not paying attention. I really believe that.

  • People say sheepdogs are not smart, but mine is. All three of mine were. I was locked out of the house one day and we had two dowel rods barricading our sliding door for safety because the sliding door wouldn't lock. One was in the groove at the bottom and the other was at an angle, the door would not open. We stood outside and indicated what we wanted her to do. She lifted the angled dowel rod with her nose, and rolled the other out with her paw. Gifted.
