  • (1) What he was talking about is how a public option in health care reform would help lower costs, i watched the whole speech, hes using fed ex, ups and the us mail as an example...hypothetically if you have a package...you want to mail it...us mail will charge say $5...ups will charge $7 and fed ex charges $6 because theyre non union and pay their workers less than ups and they can afford to do so, if you take us mail out of the picture, what is going to stop fed ex and ups from charging $20?

  • @klg1956 Its a lack of competition that drives up the costs, those companies work all together and make multi billions a year, off of humans well being... they should be allowed to go across state lines to provide insurance and there should probably be a public option, the public option wouldnt put the others out of business either, look how UPS(where i work actually) and Fed Ex are still in business while UsMail is the public option when it comes to shipping packages.

  • @iH8Tyranny -----read more! NO TAX DOLLARS USED! Just more theives in P.O.

  • I think we have to impeach Obama now, the Federal Reserve is stepping it up. They are scared of Ron Paul opening their books. We are in grave danger don't think we have time for the next election. We must slow the machine down now. If we are too late God Bless you all.

  • @klg1956 Well maybe if the the f'n congress didn't make the post office pay 5.5 BILLION dollars since 2006 to pre-fund retiree health benefits for the next fricken 75 years! This is to be paid in 10 years! So far post office had paid 21 BILLION DOLLARS to pre-fund!!! This needs to stop....

  • @yfz450mane if there are more mail carriers, the will of the market will drive the price down. Lysander Spooner drove the cost of stamps by the Federal Government down and not up. Did he go out of business because of that? No, he went out of business because the Federal Government sued him so goddamn much.

  • @strawspulled Really, easily you say? I work for UPS. UPS flies to more than 220 countries and territories around the world, serving 388 U.S.airports with 936 flight segments, and 378 international airports with 755 flight segments DAILY. UPS operates a fleet of over 100,000 ground vehicles, delivering over 15 million packages to 6.1 million customers around the world DAILY. Now what new entrepreneur would EASILY step in to compete with that pal?? Who else has those logistic capabilities??

  • @yfz450mane What's going to stop UPS and Fed Ex from jacking up rates bigtime is that a new entrepreneur would easily spot this artificial price inflation and create a new company to compete against the two companies. You act as if the market is static, and that UPS and FedEx are the only companies that will ever exist. But even they formed their companies at one time out of a demand that they recognized as needed.

If they were to jack up rates, a new one would come and out-compete them.

  • @Superfluential at youtube, type in SHOCK UNCOVERED: Obama IN HIS OWN WORDS saying His Health Care Plan will ELIMINATE private insurance ..........in his own words.....by 15 years or 20 years bye bye private health care.....lol....lol....

  • UPS or FEDEX does not collect our tax dollars and then still charge us for postage on top of it either... understand?
