Illegal Search - Police Respond to Man With Crossbow & Seize House 2/2

Local Lincoln, Nebraska police seize a families house after responding to Gary Grana, a 32 year old man playing with a crossbow in his backyard. A neighbor had called local police, to report this incident. Local police then told his wife that they would seize their house after she refused to let them search her home.

She stated police officers would need a search warrant to enter her home when they asked to come inside premises. One officer then told her that they could and would seize their home. Her husband was arrested after an alleged altercation with two officers.

Police claimed her husband may have assaulted two officers. His wife claimed he did nothing wrong. Police initially responded to her neighbor's call, as allegedly they were concerned about him shooting a bow and arrow within Lincoln city limits.

UPDATE March 9, 2011: Gary Grana is not being charged with a weapons charge and was NOT in fact, "playing with a crossbow. As a matter of fact, the officers admitted at a preliminary hearing, I was exiting my home at the time they were responding to a "crime in progress" call. As an update, Lincoln http://www.journalstar.com covered the january 11 preliminary, where both officers admit no weapon was on my person or outside our home at the time I was detained & that I also did not physically or verbally threaten them.

Somebody needs to tell chatty Kathy to keep her hole shut and stay inside her house.

The dumb cunt couldn't keep her hole shut and told the police her husband placed the bow/arrows in the residence. As the bow/arrows may be evidence in a prosecution she just provided the officers with enough information to swear out a probable cause affidavit for a search warrant for the residence that a judge certainly shall sign (and the pigs can keep her out until a judge signs/declines a warrant).

The person arrested and his wife are the ones responsible for this escalation. The real victim here is that sweet little girl, who has to witness her parents acting in this manner. No doubt, her parents will teach her to hate police officers, and its very sad. What is good, is the overwhelming response from police, fire, and EMS, rushing to aid a fellow public safety provider in trouble.

Also, notice she said "I wasn't outside, I was in here and I don't know anything" but then she says "he didn't have anything on him to do anything". Well, if you were inside and didn't know anything, then how do you know what he was doing outside? Also "they should have just said don't do it again but they bugged him for ID" LOL how idiotic is that. How would they ever know if 2 weeks later he was doing it again? Grow up. Be responsible. Accept responsibility for your actions.
