Luis Salgado has worked as a dancer with renowned Latin artists such as Paulina Rubio, Thalía, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Olga Tañon, and many others. Some theater works include: "In the Heights" moving to Broadway on March 2008, The Mambo Kings, Evita, Aida, Fame on 42nd St. Film credits include Across The Universe, American Gangster, Enchanted, Havana Nights Dirty Dancing 2 and more. He also won the Drama Desk Award for best outstanding ensemble for the musical In the Heights Off-Broadway.

As a choreographer he has putted his style into industrials, musicals, casino shows and recording artists. At the moment he is working as a Director/Choreographer in the show "Mezcla" in Peru and he is the choreographer of a new musical called "Serenade" that will open in December 1, 2008 in New York City.

Bought me back to my Bernardo days when I added Sofrito that Robbins choreography did not have.If you do West Side..I coach you kid on the character strength & power.Maria Torres did not have me at two rehearsals for a party scene in my apartment(1967 Bogaloo) as 'Papo'on"El Cantante".

The director buried the scene & movie with lack of essence.

To new director/choreographers who can capture story/essence & not set Ricans back like has been done.
