  • @MrRegMackworthy Thanks that means so much to me.. words are so powerful and kind words really are the best! There may be no words to describe the many things we all do for eachother in this life- A little smile to someone walking by, a kind word- I am not perfect. No. But I think I've come along way for a guy such as myself who really needs time and patience to grow. When I think about God waiting for me it just makes me cry because I am such a wretch, brother. God bless you man. : )

  • @utubin67

Seriously cool stuff. Both your recovery and the cat. I wish you continued happiness.

  • @MrRegMackworthy- I cannot figure out for the life of me.. why my cat likes that vacuum... but I love that cat man he's been with me through everything.. all 3 of my cats.. my wife? Not so much. And still, God's Grace is sufficient and I'm off drugs, I lost 50 pounds.. I haven't looked or felt so good in so long. And I was close to death a year ago fully loaded up on drugs.. Wow.

  • @MrRegMackworthy thanks and I'm truly sorry for your friends.. I know what it is like to wake up suddenly from sleep.. with the first thought being "I think I nearly died" running to the bathroom, heart pounding in my chest.. this happened to me several times. When it would happen, I would try to taper the drug.. I would pray to Jesus.. I appreciate your congratulations but truly and honestly I can only say it was Jesus, not me. I could have never, ever been here without Him. But I do thank you!

  • @utubin67 Without knowing it, you supoort my claim. I was not "reborn" becuase I consider the term itself is a lie. The term "reborn" is put forth by evangelicals. Its what you're supposed to feel and if you don't you're going to hell. By that logic I am going to hell. Despite the fact that I wanted nothing more than to know there was a god.

  • @utubin67 First off, congratulations for kicking the opiates. I've known several people who did not and are now gone. I'm sincerely glad for you. My story involves the dark side of relgion. Yours is the good side. I don't want to rain on your parade any more. You're happy and that counts for a lot in my book. Try not to judge us "sinners" so hard. After all, its in the bible ;)

One last question. How did you get your cat to hold still for the vacuum? Mine are terrified of it !!

  • Keep in mind MrRegMachworthy- my experience is mine. Don't try to make it yours.. Make your story your story! Amen. All the best to you.

  • I'm not trying to be a know it all.. I'm probably on thinner milk than you are for all I know. But I know that I have repented and changed. I know about 'me' now but more importantly I know what power God has and what Fear and Love the Holy Spirit can put into my heart- It was there, cannot be denied, I crushed an 8 year drug addiction to oxycontin in several weeks.. by pure fear and nothing else! Praise the Holy Hand of The Holy Spirit.. leading me to a natural, healthy state..Fear and Love.

  • @MrRegMackworthy If you were 'reborn' how then did you not feel anything? Why then do you say you were reborn? Such a word can only be defined as an experience. What was your experience of 'rebirth'? To give you an example of 'communication' think of a child... The more the child learns and knows and matures.. the more the adult is able to communicate with him.. 'milk or meat'.

  • @MrRegMackworthy re: 'testing over time" Time and testing is simply about 'Truth' our own truth. God knows our truth but we need the time to know our own truth. Not God. We must come to terms with our truth in order to ever be ready to repent, because our truth is that we are sinners and have a tendency towards evil so long as we think we can hide it.. but over time God shows us, we hope, our true ways. Then when He has done that we come broken.. Amen to Jesus. And then we have truly learned.
