  • The only manufacturers who don't use plastic tubs are Miele and Asko/Maytag. It's been that way for at least 15 years now. Hotpoint and Philips/Whirlpool have used plastic tubs for about 30 years now. If they are made thick enough they won't crack either. With cheap machines like Beko, Indesit, Hotpoint, Candy, Hoover etc, the plastic is probably a little bit too thin, but when a machine costs around £200 you really can't complain! You get what you pay for.

  • @Hoover1100 the plastic tubs on this beko is thiner than hotpoints, as i know, hotpoint, creda, ariston used metal dums until merloni bought them out in 2001. the late 90's styled hotpoints and credas were useing parts from bosch, so my wd61 and wd64 were bosch made. and had aluminum tubs

  • @whichwasher2007 DId you fixed it???

  • @bogdannb i didnt fix it, like i said it was 2 months old, so was still under warrenty. it was fixed and ran for another 3 months before being sold on ebay

  • @whichwasher2007 can you tell me why that pop was when you pressed the biutton and why casn you tell me why it started turning and then it started jogging the drum inside

  • how come the motor didnt go bang

  • its ok now ive fixed it i put new carbon brushes on it ....i thought it would have been motor but turned out it was brushes took 1 hour to fit up and running all for £15 i used the vids of you tube to help me

  • oh yeah and its been through 2 13 amp fuses

  • we have same problem now , turn it on ....it fills up , then clicks to wash ....drum does not move i have to turn it off reset it then it goes to spin/end and drains it self off

  • I want a unrealible washing machine. What make would you recommend?

  • @MasterOfWash That's the truth. Things aren't built to last. They're built to be broken, so that people will be forced to repair them, or buy new items, so that the manufacturers can make more money.

  • Could you help me please.....

I have a beko washing machine and it does not turn.. I checked the belt and its fine... Everything sounds like it goes through the cycle but it won't turn....

    Will this be the motor.....

    Help me pleeeeeease...
