The liquid (yolk and white) inside raw eggs doesn't spin (or stop spinning) as fast as the shell.

If you've cooked a batch of hard-boiled eggs and put them in the fridge... then someone else has moved them... you can find out which are raw and which are cooked just by spinning them.

  • So just to confirm, the egg used in this example is not boiled because once he stopped it with his fingers, it should have stopped spinning when he pulled his fingers off, right?

The spinning yoke inside made the egg spin after he pulled his fingers off??
