Why is there an boom sound when you blow up the robot when there is no sound in space?

Assuming there is no medium for the sound to travel through. But when the scene is changed to space, a distinct hum and echo can be heard. Therefore there is a medium for the sound to travel though.

Actually, I never built it this way, this is the computer's interpretation on how to build it, so likely; I can't do 0:17 either.
