With a little co-operation, can small miners and conservationists together reclaim and remediate old mining sites?
This is the question asked in this PPT presentation by small miners and prospectors from the Central Goldfields of Victoria.
I like the idea of greening up those old dead and inhospitable tracts of bushland, and who better to adopt and enthuse than small-scale miners themselves? These people claim to love their bushland surroundings, so why not take them on?
