Tribute to Former NFL Fullback Mack Strong

Mack Strong played the much overlooked position of fullback for 15 seasons in the National Football League all of which were with the Seattle Seahawks. Strong was elected to two Pro-Bowls even being named Associated Press All-Pro at his position in 2005. He was known as one of the best at his position. Strong has lead blocked for three 1000 yard rushers: Chris Warren, Ricky Watters, and Shaun Alexander. He holds the Seahawks team record for longest rush in a playoff game with a 32 yard run during the 2005 divisional playoff game against the Washington Redskins. He has also won many team awards including multiple Steve Largent Awards. During week five of the 2007 NFL season Strong suffered a herniated disk in his neck that was causing trauma to his spinal cord against the Pittsburgh Steelers. On October 8th, 2007, Strong emotionally announced his retirement after fifteen years due to this injury.

Forget Hasselbeck & Alexander... Mack strong was THE FACE of the WINNING Seahawks... This guy was there from the time they sucked until they reached the Super Bowl. Hard working. Hard hitting. Great FOOTBALL player. Too bad there's not room in the Hall of Fame for blocking fullbacks... How many years in a row did he block for a 1000-yeard rusher??? 12 or 13... Mack was THE MAN!!!

I know him he goes to our Church sometimes he is awesome he gives me tips to be a fullback. He was at our Church just today.
