the vette is not the greatest car in the world.. its a beautiful car dont get me wrong but not the best.. Skyline fans. The Skyline isnt the best car in the world either yes its a great car built to handle many things but not the best. remember kids. theres always going to be an import or domestic car thats faster so accept or build your own car and kill yourself unless its a honda.  which a civic is a ricer.

Uhhh...you need to do your homework, my friend. Vettes dominate over Porsche and Viper and Ferrari in the Le Mans races. Very ignorant comment. And I'm a fan of both Japanese and all great sports cars (I had an APU MKIV Supra and own a Z06 now).

@eeiko321 Yes but there is a lot more to the car than just having the HP. Suspension set up is the most obvious and biggest obstacle. The suspension for a drift and drag car are very VERY different. Not to mention the fact that these cars although insanely fast also sacrifice driveability in the process. there arent too many 1000HP cars that are driving around due to the amount of maintenance and fuel costs.

some cas like the ZR1 or the R35 GT-R... are factory built to perform at acceleration in straight lines as well as the track (as shown in nurburgring)

and some of the cars built for the drift track for instance... can range from 100bhp - 1000bhp... and obviously on a straight line 1000bhp is a monster!

@eeiko321 Unfortunately it is true I have a stock 01 Z06 and I got beat by a modded Evo. If you have the money, then yeah you can win at a Drag race. The point to make in this situation is that although these "fast and furious imports" are fast at the strip or at the track, they will never be fast at the strip AND the track. You have to build them with one purpose in mind, where as the Z06 is a high performance track, strip, and street car. It's also pretty comfortable as well.
