Just an update on how I'm doing dealing with my eating, reading about lap band and other wls and identity issues. I talk about reading Carnie Wilson's books. Exciting!
You have helped me more then I can say. Of all the video sites, your has helped me keep a sense of humor and a great perspective. I had my band done on Friday the 13th...and am doing so very well! I did have the delightful experience of copious amounts of saliva pouring out....but started laughing as I envisioned "Lake Ashley" on the streets of San Francisco. Thanks again for all your great information..
Hey Ash, As a "bandster to be" I am so happy to have yorur video blogs to help prepare myself for surgery and life that follows. I have also read Jessie H. Ahroni's book and I am SO glad that I purchased it. I know that it will be one I refer back to along my journey. I might go out and pick up Carni's book tomorrow! I would love for you to post the amount of time since surgery and amount of weight lost in the beginning of your blogs. Please keep posting, I am thankful for you!
Ok, you are just cute as a button, and I love your videos! I'm so happy for your success, and your videos are really helpful...hearing about the emotional side of things for you. Thanks for the recommendation..I'll be getting that before my gastric bypass in a few months. :)
I love watching your old videos. Thank you soooo much. I would love an update!!

Try "The Weight of It" by Amy Wilensky. It's gastric bypass, but completely brilliant and personal.

Look for khaliah ali's book. It's more of a pre-surgery book - but I could relate to alot of what she said. She got the band.
