ways my 5 year old niece would not let this pass:
1)no PVC glue between the botton drain flange a liner
2) no blocks (AYFKM)
3)red pan liner to thin for even mexico
4) Did this guy really forget the wall vapor barrier??
5) Vape and backer goes between pre slope and deck mud!!!! Come on!!! Really????

Every step here is wrong or just poor building. a california inspector would literally laugh at this pan.

Someone Please tell me how the perimeter of the shower floor is level all the way around when using this method. By using this method for shower pan, you will not end up level unless u shim up the 2 short pieces to come in level with the corners. T

(waterproof except for the silicone you use that will fail in a couple years) Scary. and for your bench... You suggest cutting through the tile and backerboard!?!??! You are counting on the silicone way too much.

Wow these ppl are crazy they think backerboard and tile are waterproof!? Tile is NOT waterproof and neither is backerboard. They have no kind of waterproofing on the walls! lol
