Beaded Cuff Demo

Over the past several days, I've filmed my progress while bead embroidering a cuff bracelet. I made the cabochons from polymer clay, and surrounded them with lots of seed beads to create a pretty and contemporary accessory. I didn't use a metal cuff form for this, but backed the piece with leather and used a beaded toggle closure.

Do you use a heavy duty needle to sew the seed beads to the leather? Also what type of thread do you use.

@chinewmarie Its very soft garment leather, so I really didn't need a heavy needle. I just used my regular size 12 beading needle. I use Fireline or Wildfire for thread.

where did u get the leather?i was going to buy synthetic leather for the base but i cudnt find it anywhere.i bought a scrap leather(which is very stupid of me) and its very soft not a hard thick one like u have there.

Can you tell me what kind of paint you used for this project? Also what strength of interfacing too.

@tsummerlee I just spent 5 hours making my own cuff! Im really proud of it. I didnt have a cabochon so I used a lard flat bead. Thanks for your tut..its so easy to learn from.
