I think, the buddy who comment on my vid is very confuse. The video showed not only China, but so-called Americans sitting on their ass ...watching TV.

Maybe I can offer some clarification:

The video is illustrating how this event occurred in China while we were living our lives - practically oblivious to what was going on. Even further, maybe we watched the news reports of what happened on TV. It won't affect us the same because we weren't directly involved.

This is a great song because Waters made something complex, confusing, and painful easy to understand with simple, but powerful lyrics.
