your gonna have to raise your voltage that why your shutingh off your pc is overloading so it automaticlly shuts down if your trying to push the fsp to high with not enough voltages thats whaty happens and also to overclock u dont nessacerly have to raise your ram speed u can leave it where its at just the voltage and fsp i got a 2004 amd athlon and it only was like 1.8 stock i turned the votage all the way up anf the fsp to about 426 mhz and now im geting 2.28 or on a athlon xp 2004 crazy

@dimkakos I wouldnt overclock a i7... its good enough already and if it burns up you will need a new one.

@skrat501 I don't know lol I was just curious. Every once in a while Battlefield 3 has some lag spikes and I thought overclocking a little might fix it

@KajunFriesYT Why the hell do you need to overclock that, it is fine

@techgodrachit You have to see if it's even unlocked for overclocking first
hey, can you help me?
Intel HD Graphics up to 1755 MB DVMT
but if i look in my bios i see that my grahics card has 128 mb free for games, internet etc.
how can i make it better?
I cant overclock it in bios and programs like rivatuner doesn't work.
my processor is: Intel Core I3 330M 2.27 GHz
I want to play mw2 on full screen (1366x768) and high resolution.

@FPSUsername Sadly forget it, you are running and intel graphics card not designed for gaming. It is pumped full of RAM as a scam to make it look better than what it is.
I'm guessing you have a laptop? In that case you cannot do much. Maybe sell it and put the money towards a new machine. Sorry.

hey dude im trying to overclock to on my p5k-e wifi motherboard with a e4500 its stock is 2.20ghz i managed 2.78ghz i think. the memory is just a non branded type i think its samsung or something not sure but im trying to get over 3ghz but everytime i try it keeps shutting down and rebooting every time. i have to remove the battery to reset the bios is there a easier way thanks :)

@mrkeith557 This is because your current settings are not stable. this could be for a number of reasons:
- Your RAM can't handle higher clock speeds as it sounds to be generic.
- Your voltages are too low (vcore vram etc..)
I recommend getting some software to see what your highest stock CPU voltages are when under 100% load, setting vcore to that and slowly increasing the fsb until it isnt stable, then either settle for that or slightly increase the voltage to the next increment
be 100%sure

@mrkeith557 also you don't have to remove the battery of the motherboard to reset the bios, there should be an option to put everything back on auto or restore settings in the bios
