First, I'd just like to say that I am glad that This civil war is over.

Second, I was watching a curious LTTE propaganda video which stated that 38k tigers held off 250k european, american, and lion troops... yeah, I'm guessing that the so called, "Tamil Eelam" was a walled-off city. Correct me if i am wrong, but I don't belive american or european forces were engaged in said conflict.

@chica476 Thats correct, its completely false, there were no american or european engagement in the conflict. This is a typical example of dissinformation. The tigers never had a carder of 38K. It was more like 3 to 5 thousand and they held close to 300K civilians hostages in a very small area as the Sri Lanka troops were closing in on their leaders.

When the civilians started to break free from this zone, Claymores, ditches, motes and white phosphorus were used to curb them.
