BrahMos is a supersonic cruise missile that can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft or land. It is a joint venture between India and Russia, who have together formed the BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited. the name "BrahMos" combines the names of two rivers: the Brahmaputra and the Moskva, symbolising the close partnership that exists between India and Russia.

The BrahMos is considered the world's finest cruise missile. It can fly at speeds of up to Mach 3, three times the speed of sound. It can destroy ships and targets on land. It can be launched from the air, submarines and onboard ships.

The BrahMos will be deployed on the Sukhoi 30 MKI, the mainstay of the Indian Air Force. The Sukhoi's ability to fly thousands of kilometres after being re-fuelled in-air means that the Brahmos can be used to strike targets across large parts of South Asia.

Today, with Russian assistance, and missiles like the Brahmos, the Indian Navy's frontline ships are fitted with the fastest and possibly most lethal anti-ship weapons ever developed.

  • @justCurious69 Most times BBC supports Pakistan. If RT you say can like that. If India is third world then Pakistan is fourth world , I mean failed state. Our defense budget is more than pak's entire national budget. India govt. doesn't run on aid money unlike pak. first save you country from collapse and build economy then talk about India.

  • Please Pakistani dude.....entertain me and tell me your military is advanced.......I got to give you credit over there though...........you don't have a Disneyland over there so your military has to play somewhere right?

  • @stealth090 Falling a Fobos-ground for Russia not a shame, a shame is a failure of the program Space Shuttle for USA. Now till 2018-2020 USA has no independent exit in space. Today Russia - unique space power. Only China can make a competition of Russia in the near future

  • @stealth090 Who has the space programm monopol?Russia. You failed.Russians was first in space.
