Thank you so much for sharing this vid, though it almost ripped my heart apart. There was a 10 year period in my life, during wich I wasn't able to listen to this tune.. Because it reminded me (and it still does) about my beloved cousin, who died accidentally at the age of 8. And for so many years I blamed myself for his death.. :'-[

The words were written by Immi Hellén (18611937). The song is often sung at a christening or a funeral of a child, but we sung it at the funeral of my grandmother, who was 100 years when she died, because she always maintained a certain innocence of a child an because we thought the words were fitting (so long is the journey...) I'll try to translate them.
