The Oklahoma Sooner defense shows up huge after spotting the Nebraska Cornhuskers 17 pts. and then dominating the final 3 qtrs. of the game, reminding the Huskers why they are leaving the Big 12 conference for the Big 10. *(from Dec. 4th 2010) *(playcalling by Bob Barry Sr. / video from ABS/ESPN) in Arlington, TX. at Dallas Cowboys Stadium.
game is not cool

@goooogrrr So many time I have watched the NU/OU game with friends and family and cheered on the Huskers. I lived in Omaha and I had many relatives in Tulsa and Muskogee at the time. I lament the loss of the mutual rivalry and respect between those two legendary teams.

My hat is off to your Grandfather. sincerely, but I wasnt bluffing when I said Martinez ankle was trashed. he was literally limping on the field during the last 4 games. I was born raised in Lincoln. I think it is unfortunate that the classic OU/UNL rivalry that I loved watching growing up is gone. I feel the rivalry was about to start becoming exciting again with UNL making strides, at least defensively, and the real original Big 8 bullies wont meet up much any more. Respect to OU.Peace

how is it bluff and bluster..seriously? All i was saying was in response to another comment by a Sooner fan, whom I have had very good friends who are Sooner fans, .and I respect their program more than any other besides my Husks...another comment saying UNL was running from the big 12 cuz they cant compete with OU. Then i stated that, contrarily, UNL in past 2 seasons has begun to catch up with OU again in recruiting, performance and coaching. I really meant no insult. but it wasnt bluff.

@goooogrrr IF you have any honesty then you know your statement is just bluff and bluster. But you are welcome to your own view. Whatever Nebraska was running from then Oklahoma is running from it too. The Big 12 is toast and you can thank Texas for it.
BTW: My grandfather was a REAL Sooner who was in the Oklahoma land rush and settled in Muskogee.

@bm4nu Yeah this will definitely be a missed rivalry. Nebraska is me new favorite team in the big ten. But yeah I'm a sooner fan and I was so freakin nervous because I though the Huskers had us beat in the beginning

congrats to the Sooners. coming from a diehard Husker, It was hard to watch but, I don't have any excuses other than we were outcoached and outplayed. Good luck in the future and I hope these teams meet again down the road
