Many "conservative" people in THE U.S. think woman are very sensitive creatures who must be protected when they do anything than work the kitchen while the alpha-male is guarding the cosy home with his 12 gauge.
So Palin was a risk: Had Biden taken her serious and challenged her by telling the truth (=that she is only being a parrot repeating what her trainers had planted into her) all of them "conservatives" would automatically have said:
"You can´t do that TO A WOMAN!"

To win a debate, it helps if you actually answer a question. The best she did was to identify that there is a problem in gov't.
Simply talkin' 'peppy' isn't winning a debate (unless you're running for miss America). lol
Palin most certainly did not win that debate.
