Matt Ryan and the Boston College Eagles had clinched a berth in the ACC Championship a week earlier, but that didn't make Saturday's regular season finale against Miami any less important. BC's 2007 Heisman Trophy candidate was ready to put an end to the Eagles' 15-game losing streak against the 'Canes. Matty Ice led BC into the end zone twice in the second quarter, hitting LV Whitworth for an 8-yard touchdown, and then finding Kevin Challenger to make it a 14-nothing score at the half... With the game tied at 14 in the fourth quarter, Ryan connected with Rich Gunnell down the sideline for 49 yards... A play later, the senior quarterback found a diving Clarence Megwa in the end zone for the go-ahead score... The Eagles would not relinquish the lead again, earning a 28-14 victory. In the process, Ryan completed 26-of-43 for 369 yards, earning him his 8th 300-plus passing game of 2007 and landing him just under 4,000 yards on year. With his 3 touchdown connections, the captain finished with 28 in the regular season, breaking the mark previously held by Doug Flutie. For the maroon and gold, it was their first 10-win regular season since 1940 and the first time they had achieved back-to-back 10-overall-win seasons in program history. Ryan and the Eagles will play in next Saturday's ACC Championship against Virginia Tech, a rematch of BC's unforgettable comeback victory from October 25th. With a win, Boston College would earn a spot in the Orange Bowl and make its first ever BCS bowl game appearance.

if you know whats good for the falcons you dont want ryan to start straight away with that o-line hell get smashed to pieces and it will probly damage his long term potential
i know whats good 4 them what u think they got sam baker 4? u dont pay a top 5 pick 2 sit on the bench as u play u get better he may stuggle but he will get better 4 it look at peyton manning and troy aikman they both started week 1 and got beat up and they got better because of it so he will at least alot this year or may even start so look 2 see #2 alot this year
ye man i do agree with you about aikman and manning and that it may help him get used to taking hits but what im saying is dont put all your hopes on him to play well this year. look at david carr when he was a rookie behind aa shit o-line his career has petered out to nothing but i suppose matt ryan has got better qualities than him
i know he prob will stuggle but rookie QBs tend 2 he will get better i know the falcons will prob have a bad year but Matt Ryan will develop into a better QB because of playing getting used 2 nfl defenses but dont worry he will be ok
ye man i hope so. im from england and the main reason ive got into nfl the last few years is because of the falcons. i jus hope hes got enough weapons out there to help him because letting go of alge was a mistake i think even though he didnt do to well last year but who else is there?michael jenkins doesnt deserve to play football he cost vick and last year redman so many ints with his tipped catches
true the falcons dont have alot and wr talent but roddy white emered as a the #1 wr and wit laurent robinson at the #2 and harry douglas in the slot will help him joe horn will more than likely be releashed and michael jenkins a 4 and brain finerman at the 5 if he is healty and yes we should have kept alge but maybe martrez milner will emerge or keith zinger he will prob stuggle but he will get better 4 it
