Tax Cuts

You wouldn't know it from watching the nightly news, but our economy is strong. We've added nearly six million new jobs in the last three years. American workers are taking home bigger paychecks and their standard of living is on the rise. The American economy is the strongest in the world and we are going to keep it that way. We still have work to do, but we're moving in the right direction. This job growth didn't happen by accident. It happened because we showed leadership and took action. We lowered taxes on families, on small businesses, on people who take risks and create jobs. We ended the marriage penalty, cut the death tax and doubled the per child tax credit. I am committed to keeping taxes low and keeping spending under control so we can continue to grow jobs.
