Habitat for Humanity China - Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project 2009

Habitat for Humanitys 2009 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project will take place from November 15-20, 2009. During the week, more than 180 families will benefit from new or improved homes. Volunteers will build in five countries -- Chiang Mai, Thailand; Sichuan, China; Hanoi, Vietnam; Phnom Penh, Cambodia; and Vientiane, Laos -- bordering the Mekong River. Some 50 million people in the river region live on less than the equivalent of HK$8 a day.

「仁人家園義工周2009」將於本年11月15至20日舉行。屆時超過180個家庭將會受惠，獲得經修葺或全新建造的房屋。義工們將在沿湄公河流域附近五個國家─泰國清邁­、中國四川、越南河內、柬埔寨金邊及老撾永珍建屋。在這些地區，約五千萬人每天的生活費只有少於港元八元的水平。
