You can now buy their "Master Gardener's" kit which comes with blank pods and labels so you can grow your own seeds. You can also buy refill growing medium from them or from other companies. Several companies sell their own refills, liquid nutrients, pods, etc.

Yes you can!! We planted cucumbers and guess what, they grew!! Only problem I had was the fact that cucumbers are crawling veggies!! they looked funny so I had to transplant them. Hope this helps.

Can't you just hack (adjust) a seed pod and put in a seed of your own?

I thought Aerogrow also supplied empty pods so you can put in your own seeds and make your own selection
