Psychiatry Drugs Foster Care Children - Elnita

I took my video camera to a Foster Care Alumni meeting and asked seven foster kids to tell me about there experiences in Child Protective Services while wards of the state.

One thing they all had in common was massive over drugging with psychiatric drugs.

Child placement agencies, foster parents, RTCs (Residential Treatment Centers) and Therapeutic Foster Homes get paid a certain amount of money each day for taking care of a foster child. The amount of money they get paid depends on a level of care system. The more difficult the child or the more problems that child has, the more money you get.

A child at the basic level of care is worth about 17 dollars a day where as a child in the highest level of care could be worth as much as a 1000 dollars a day. This puts the incentive on diagnosing children with behavior problems to justify raising their level of care. A child on psychiatric drugs is worth more than a child without problems.

It is not uncommon for a foster child to be placed on many different psychotropic drugs at the same time. Some investigations have found children on as many as 13 mind altering drugs prescribed by a psychiatrists at one time.

These drugs include all categories of psychiatric drugs; antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, anxiety medications, anticonvulsants medications, etc.

The SSRI drugs are commons such as Paxil, Zoloft, Prozac, etc. Also a number of these children described taking Risperdal, Zyprexa, Geodon and other new generation antipsychotics which have been linked to weight gain, obesity and diabetes.

A long time ago they used to test drugs on inmates and now they use foster kids. How sad.

Of course foster kids are depressed, they just lost their families. What happened to healing with a holistic approach?

I raised one foster child from the age 3-18. He was a demon at a young age but as the years went by his behavior improved. They wanted him to take adderall and several antidepressants.I refused it all. Once he hit the age of 14 everything went well. He is 21 now and other than getting a divorce he turned out to be a great law abiding man. These kids needs structure and a lot of individual attention.

What a sweet, smart and beautiful little girl. ALL foster children are precious beyond belief. The drugging of these kids... horrid. These drugs can do liver, kidney, other damage. They're toxic. Instead, these children need fresh, organic raw fruits and vegetables, sprouted seeds, grains, natural healthy wholesome food. This will HELP their health, help their attitudes... they have LEGITIMATE REASON to feel sad, hurt and more. These are NATURAL emotions.

In today Germany systematic maltreatment of children is organized by the state and executed by snitchers.The psychiatric literature holds many reports of jewish children having been persecuted in exactly this way.Since WW2 psychiatry was regularly misused by Germany to discredit and persecute the NAZI victims.Germany pretended to pay compensation to get the former victims into the hand of shrinks certifying them being mental cases due to persecution.Sometimes they even got some 100$ compensation
