Jeff Adachi talks about his ballot prop D at SHARP on 9th Avenue in September, 2011. Jeff had just claimed that his ballot proposition was a "volunteer" run signature collecting campaign. False. Financiers put up the money. This year Adachi's ballot initiative is actually better for lower-paid workers than Prop C which (outrageously!) is supported by the Mayor, Supervisors and Labor Unions. Regardless, we should not be voting on this......

I think Jeff Adachi is a gutsy individual. He does not walk in lockstep with the SF left. I like his independence. Its ironic that in this town, he is attacked for being a conservative, when in any other place on the planet, his progressive credentials would be unassailable. I don't think he has much of a chance of being elected Mayor this year. But thanks for speaking out and being an independent voice.
