that happened with me. i wwas sitting over a ledge that is over the beach. Its not reeally high. Anyway, the firework fell over and show sideways. When it came close to us, it was just something purple and it wasnt exploding. so we just thought it was one of those that dont explode. But like a few seconds later i exploded and good thing we got up when the purple came bc we wanted to make sure. So when it just exploded we darted as fast as we can.
