@TheAdarkon yes there was, the 400 cards were suppose to be called the 300 series, but shortly after they came out with a lower end series of cards for mainstream users, and they didn't want them to be called the 400 cards, because people would think they are better than the 300 cards, but they wouldn't be, so instead they changed the series name to 400, and released the mainstream cards as the 300 series.

No, that's not what happened. The entire 300 series is OEM, which means you can only get those cards by buying a pre-built system, and you can't buy the cards on their own, and they are just re-branded 200 series cards. This is the same situation as with the 100 series, which were re-branded 9000 series cards released only to OEM.

@TheAdarkon hmm, okay, yeah I had heard that too, but forgot about it, lol, I also heard about what I mentioned, so posted that, but really I think it was a bit of both, because the 300 series cards aren't as powerful as the 400 series. if what you were saying was 100% true, then the 300 cards would be as powerful as the 400 series cards, BUT ONLY for prebuilt systems, but they aren't.
