  • He's not trying to be a hero. He wants to spare other men and women the pain and sorrow he felt because of the "choice" he made by sharing his story.

  • Fray Agustín,

You are a living prove that we humans can repent, live in peace and teach the rest of us that it can be done. ..."the kiss of death"...sounds like the title to a very powerful book about abortion. Very sentimental and powerful. Fr. Augustine, you made me cry. I don't know you but feel like I know you. You are courageous and so strong individual. No wonder why God call you to help him.

  • @donalfredito - Friar: noun 1. Roman Catholic Church . a member of a religious order, especially the mendicant orders of Franciscans, Dominicans, Carmelites, and Augustinians.

Although Friar Augustine wears a habit, it does not mean that he is a ordained Priest. He could be what is called Brother. This means he cannot hear Confessions nor say the Holy Mass, the Unbloody Sacrifice of Our Lord Jesus resulting in mere bread and wine becoming in reality the Body and Blood of Our Lord.

  • Marijuana gives people an understanding of God , no offence brother :)

  • So sad I know what I am talking about the sadness it brings to those who think its ok at the time......then realise the gravitas of what they have done....choice is choice, I agree with that, but do not think that people are told the severity of the aftermath of the decision they make at the time they make it., I am now 29.... I am a sad depressed person because of the choices I made at 16. and btw, I was on birth control, taking it properly...please help the children of the future..please??

  • your honesty moved me to cry with you....and for the mother. bless you for your courage and humanity.

  • this is so sad.i got pregnant at age 16 and my child is the best thing in the world.i love him so much.a baby is truly a gift from god.

  • Thank you for sharing.

  • this is wow, and now he is a religious. God Bless and prayers.

  • Fr. Augustine Mary,

You are very brave to speak of this. God bless. I have been there, I understand where you were. I am a convert now and totally relate to everything you have said. Especially about being on cloud nine after a confession. Please pray for me. Bridgit
