Nice vids. Git'er done! I like your style; read a little, work your ciphers, then go make chips! Looks like you got'er did! Now I'm going to go make a hob. I need a 100/127 gear set to cut metric threads on my manual screw lathe. I also need a 16dp 36T stud gear as well... vendor wants about $600 for the three gears! BTW, I'm a professional mechanical engineer, a home shop machinist, own an engineering company and often get grease under my nails. I really liked your series!

fantastic stuff ... can you recommend a good book to read to learn more about cutting gears?

AnimeCrisis, I pulled the information from many sources to include Machinery handbook, sherline's machining handbook and many more. I am sure that there is a good 1 stop source for cutting gears but I have not found it. Hopefully this video series will give you enough information to get you started and be able to understand information you read from any source.
Thanks for the comment
