Goalkeeper Pepe Reina kept his mind on struggling Liverpool as Spain's squad trained on Sunday (October 10) before travelling to Glasgow to take on Scotland on Tuesday (October 12) in a Euro 2012 qualification match.

Injuries have deprived coach Vicente Del Bosque of several key players, including playmakers Xavi and Cesc Fabregas and forwards Fernando Torres, Pedro and Jesus Navas, but the squad reached a 3-1 win over Lithuania on Friday (October 08).

After training with the Spanish squad, Liverpool's Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina told Reuters he is worried about his team´s current situation after the board last week agreed to sell the club to the owners of baseball's Boston Red Sox.

The fate of England's most successful soccer team could be decided in court as an ownership dispute rages on, and Reina admitted he was worried.

"I´m still worried. I´ve been following the most of the things but it is still soon to talk about the takeover and all that because there is still chaos around there. We don´t know yet what is going on or what is going to happen," he told Reuters.

Liverpool have made their worst league start since 1953 and manager Roy Hodgson is under pressure to turn things around. They are now 18th in the Premier League with six points.

"It´s been a tough beginning. We knew that the fixtures we had they were difficult because to play and go to Man City and Man United and also Birmingham, to have Arsenal at home, you know, it was never going to be easy. But after those five games we had Sunderland and Blackpool and we should do much better by then," Reina said.

The 28-year-old Spaniard, who joined the Merseyside club in July 2005 from Villarreal, was one of former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez's best signings, notching up 177 league appearances.

The maturing goalkeeper has continued to go from strength to strength over the coming seasons at Anfield and has delighted fans by penning a new six-year contract in April 2010.

When asked about his own future, the Spain international said he would stay in Liverpool.

Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina says there is 'chaos' at Liverpool after the board agreed to sell the struggling traditional English club to the owners of baseball's Boston Red Sox.

"I don´t know. It is something my agent is working on, every offer or whatever comes and goes. And the only thing I can do is play football and be focused in Liverpool because I just signed a six-year contract."
