  • Now Thane in Cuddalore dist. 30 12 2011. Wind speed of 135 kms brought heavy loss to electricity, 2 crores trees damaged, people went without electricity for more than 8 days in many places in cuddalore etc. But the govt. acted swiftly . Loss of human lives is only barest minimum.Weather prediction was very much accurate.

  • I was home in Bhubaneswar that time when the fateful supercyclone happened. We remained for 3.5 days inside, cut the trees which blocked the gate to come outside, when we went out to see devastation all around the city, one shopkeeper said in Shaheednagar,'Babus in Bhubaneswar are nothing affected, they are still coming to enjoy my soda drinks, the people in villages are suffereing for food, roof , life has stopped there. It was very true. Thousands people died, suffered in that cyclone.

  • Sad.. Whatever growth may india achieve, but when these hardworking innocents brotherns living in poor, we cannot really be happy. Compassionate growth is whawt India need, not arrogant growth..

These people deserve more, because these are hardworking, humble, resilient people who rely only on their feet to standup.
