http://standingwithstones.net Standing with Stones is a remarkable and unprecedented documentary film that takes the viewer beyond Stonehenge on an incredible journey of discovery that reveals the true wealth and extent of Neolithic and Bronze Age Britain & Ireland.

If you ever wondered what it would be like to travel the length and breadth of the British Isles, visiting the most intriguing and enigmatic monuments that our ancestors left us, from Cornwall through England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland to the outer reaches of the Hebrides and Orkney, then you will love this film.

Described by one magazine reviewer as "A stunning study of standing stones. A work of art." (Forten Times), this is no amateur travelogue. Written and presented by writer and explorer Rupert Soskin and shot and edited by broadcast producer Michael Bott, this film is a stunningly beautiful and absorbing two and a quarter hour tour of our ancient heritage in the company of an engaging and knowledgable host - the journey of a lifetime.

  • Like it. It's great to have a guide to these sites which are probably the island's most personal and impressive tourist sites, let alone historic sites...

(But the saccharine Celtic music was terrible - sorry!)

  • Thanks for that. Sorry the music's not to your taste. It's actually not particular to this clip but is the main theme for the whole film and it's not meant to be "Celtic' as such. It's here to cover the transition in the journey from Newgrange in Ireland to the Isle of Man section and is being used as a reprise. If you saw the whole film I think you might be a bit more forgiving. But, hey - then again, it won't be to everyone's taste! Cheers from Michael Bott

  • there are no ancient monuments on the isle of man,,,, they were built in the 1970s to attract tourists...

  • People who belive aliens built these have no respect for the people that made them.

Shame on you for your weak mind

  • the awe of antiquity is profound, sadly not a reality I have here in NZ......, but it does goes a long way to showing us, that to look forward, we need to be able to understand behind:)

  • 6:00 it is fully intact even today but you can only understand it by watching the sun at the solstices...

  • 2:35 i bet that this circle is connected to the solstices because every ancient megalithic struture was built to fix the solstices (made by the fallen ones and not by humans) it is no house it is a marker for the PRECESSION OF TIME

  • stop telling lies please.... its not 4,000 years old, its much older and its not built by normal men, living normal lives, and they were definitly not hunter/gatherers!
