Aquapod™ Water Rocket Launcher in Action / VADO HD

Of course the next step was attempting to launch the camcorder - a VADO HD mini cam - on a water bottle rocket.

The sturdy VADO HD survived the launch, and the subsequent return to the ground from a height of about 75 feet (20+ meters)... twice. The plastic bag parachute I devised utterly failed to work, and the unencumbered camera dropped like a stone. This video was captured during the first attempt. The file from the second launch was corrupted -- probably because the rocket went higher and the camera impacted much harder.
