I think Ragtime is just an American interpretation of Polka. That's my opinion at least...Anyway; good job! I love the way you interpret the transitions with a slight ritardando. And the differences between the way you played staccato and legato were very...smooth? I can't think of a word to describe it...But wonderful, nonetheless!

Criticism is good, and I appreciate it every time. I am glad to hear what I could make better. But your statement is not criticism but rather an impertinent assertion.

technically, you played okay. However, you do not understand the spirit of the polka at all! Go google "annen polka" or listen to some polkas to get a feel of how to play a polka!

There's no forumla how to play this polka! It is MY rendition and nobody else's. I guess you do not know much about the genre of light viennese music at all. You should understand the spirit of it first before telling me how to play master Strauss' Annenpolka.
