I'm really interested in learning kenpo. Does anyone here who knows what the heck they are talking about have any advice? it seems like half the people on youtube just like to say negative things for the hell of it so please don't waist my time with bullshit. I am very serious about my martial arts and expect the same from you. The reason i am thinking of learning kenpo is because of the fast paced, precise striking. I feel like it would suit my fighting style well.Thanks for reading.

I am amazed at allot of comments on the internet about MMA fighting. Poepl don't get that MMA is a sport, not a real fight. There are many rules in MMA, there are nop rules on the street. I also train in bjj, but that last place I want o be on the street or ina bar is on the floor...been there done that.

Yep Kenpo is bullshit my instructor entered their world championships and won the world title in just a wknd.

@1333Hannibal1 You nailed it. However, be proud to know that in the age of "everyone wears a tap out shirt and wants to train MMA," that Mr. Parker was light years away from most if not all arts (I would add that Kali is a close cousin, as well as some Krav Maga, and kajukenbo depending on how "tight" the instructor is). Most martial artists who even see kenpo on youtube dismiss it as a slap art or something that makes no sense. Kenpo is chess in a world of checkers.

Always liked Ed. Took lessons from him when I was a kid in California. Studied under Chuck Norris via Chip Wright and Bob Barrow and lots of others. i always considered Ed to be as good as any of them.

It is funny to read some of the comments here..... All MMA fighters that have access to the internet please take the time to find the schools of Tommy Chavies, Ron Chapel, Frank Trejo, Steve Muhammad or Paul Mills...! You will cash in that MMA dream for the truth of KENPO...! To see is to be deceived but to feel is to believe.....!
