My review of director Joe Johnston's update/remake of the classic Universal monster movie "The Wolfman". Starring the likes of Benecio Del Toro, Emily Blunt, Anthony Hopkins, and Hugo Weaving.

  • My main gripe with this film is that they had the opertunaty to explore deaper theams with this film. Like the line between man and best, who's worse man or best etc..

It also could have handled the seclusion aspect better, because I honestly felt that Benecio Del Toro was just plain bland. I can understand the feeling of torment and self isolation, but he just felt so monotoned and emotionaless it was hard to realy feel for him.

That being said, I do think this movie is very fun...

  • I think that was part of the point of being a person like that in those times. I've never found myself drawn to the older times and find movies based on those very boring. But I think compared to the past work i've seen with Del Toro, I really enjoyed him here and felt he did the best he could with the time/place he was in.

I think this was supposed to be more on family torment then beast, which for how this movie was set up, makes more sense if you ask me.

  • Great Review

  • @BionicSlime I do agree with what you said about the ending....one would have to wonder if we will see a sequel starring Hugo Weaving, and perhaps include Frankenstein's Monster in the story?

  • BS Movie Revies is really a bad choice of name

  • I hated this movie, it had pretty much awful writing and the lead role was awful.

  • You love taking things out of context don't you?

  • I'm jewish.

  • Being a grammer nazi doesn't make you any more intelligent at all.

  • you guys are like four you, spelled intelligence wrong aswell.

  • Spelling should not have anything to do with inteligence. I have already stated that this movie was fun and enjoyable for what it is. Just it could have been so much more given the franchise.

  • @Nightmare060 don't try to act sophisticated and smart, it was a good movie you don't need to go in depth. Also, if you want to be looked at as intelligent then maybe you should learn to spell theme the correct way.

  • oldstyle horror! loved it too, except for one thing... The fight at the end......... That one sucked...
