The Lion has Wings - the new Peugeot 3008 soars high above its rivals

The new Peugeot 3008 is a canny car. It can carry people, absorb luggage and gives a really great motoring experience. But it's cleverer than that. I saw 2 editing bloomers, showing a rear wheel & 1st gear. As winch master at Stratford on Avon Gliding club, I was in the car to ensure safety, and to advise the Peugeot driver on speed control. We used a reverse pulley system to give the full length of the field (1100m) for both car & glider. The whole run was in 2nd gear (max. nearly 70mph), with a bit of clutch slipping initially, the car's good low speed torque & grip control took over. Great fun, with a dozen launches, 1 with our T21B.

After looking at 1:57 again, I CAN see the car, because I know where to look (I was in the car!). It's about half a mile away. It is a tiny dot just under the trees to the left of the cable run.

Busted: with a pulley (car and plane moving opposite to each other

they need to use a turn so, if the have a pulley by the winch the car drive towards the start position.

It only pulls the cable, it doesn`t spool it up like a wich

If this was faked, don't you think it would have been picked up on by the reporters? Also if you have a very good eye you can see from 1:55 - 1:58 that the car is to the left and that the winch is in the middle of the screen (just follow the cable if you cant see it) But feel free to believe what you wish.

It looks more like a real winch-launch.

I think that the Video is faked. But it is a very good commercial.
