I have the oldest mac laptop (ibookg4), and I can't download new editing programs. iMovieHD is okay, but I really just need a software easy to sync and that has a lot more effects! Please respond!!!

And by the way, for some good slowmotion plugins, you should try Twixtor!

If it's a free piece of software, it is okay. But if you want to do some more with movie-edditing, you should try Adobe Premiere. Used by profs and not even that hard to learn. You can find enough tutorials on the interwebs. You can get a free 30-day trial on their website!
