この2000GTは、1968年、トヨタがアメリカのSHELBY RACINGに委託し、SCCA（スポーツカー・クラブ・オブ・アメリカ）レースに参戦した

Luckily you can still the find that engine in other models =) Wonder if any company considered making a kit car for this.

@mahidmalik7 Yep... and just a bit modified version of this 2000GT engine was in Supras. And all 3 of them are front engine sport cars and ok you cant see any 2000GT in LFA but you can see some of the both when you compair them to Supra. So to me LFA is basicly the new 2000GT and Supra... The icones of Japanese top of the line.

@5274522 I own an FD RX-7 and Datsun 240z. I looked at the Opel GT since 1 was for sale, but whilst it's nice. It's still just an Opel. Given the choice I'd take a Toyota 2000GT. I'd swap my FD and 240z for it too!

Yamaha built this engine in 1967 for 2000gt now they built for LFA
