 FREE: How to change every icon on Leopard, Snow Leopard, & Lion mac part 1 (HD)

This video teaches how to change the Folder, System file icons, and yes, even Finder, if your running leopard or even snow leopard, using a program called Liteicon.

Everything in the video works on lion except the dock icons (including Finder, Dashboard, Trash)... individual applications still work fine in Lion (like Safari and iChat etc.). i have it and its working for me. Folders also change nicely... just make sure that you log out or restart if you have to in order for the changes to take effect.

Handy trick, at 4:00, if you just double-click on the image in preview, it'll automatically create a border around the image, and then you can just hit 'copy.'

@meeraj722 the Skype doesn't work? that worked for me... just make sure that when you put the new icon in the folder, it must be the same type of file (.icns). and it must be named the same thing (SkypeBlue). so that when you put it in the folder, it replaces the older one with the one you just made.
