Hopefully one of many, I'm going to try and debunk many of the myths and other propaganda associated with the seal hunt. I'm starting off with two videos that are easy take down.

ok what i think is that killing them with a club or whatever is not wrog... what is wrong is that they kill them ONLY for there fur if your gonna kill anything you better do it fast and use or eat most of the animal... people in this wrold go hungry everyday and to leave the animals carcass there to rot is wrong,,,

@LinaLuvYou The people who hunt them do eat a lot of the meat on the animal. The main concentration of the meat of a young seal can be found in the flippers which are taken, the rest of the carcass once stripped of the fat a fur has relatively small amounts of meat. Now sealer may wish to make use of more of the carcass but the law limits the size of the boat they can use, meaning they don't have space to take all the carcasses.

@TrueMetis oh wow ok but yeah the only reason i said that was cause i seen all those carcasses i was like dam i can make me some seal jerky lol but really that is sad to see all that blood on the ice i think they should let the hunters take them and process them like swamp people with gators tag them and bag em lol choot em choot em lol...

@LinaLuvYou They used to IIRC, the legislation that limits the size of the boats they use was pushed mostly by animal rights organizations. Which now gives them a whole new bullshit line of argument. "The sealers are wasting the carcasses" though I'd like to point out that even though sealer can no longer take all the carcasses, hey still make use of 60% or so of the animal. That's about what you see in slaughterhouses. And the rest does not rot but it eaten by birds and sea animals.

@RipFlm It is not a brutal way, study after study has shown clubbing and shooting to be an effective and humane way of killing seals.
