Eddie was one of the nicest and most supportive musicians around, aside from being a piano genius. His daughter and I went to school together, and at one of her parties her dad called David Troncoso (bassist) over to their house to play us a private duo concert. It was INCREDIBLE! I got to sit down next to his Steinway and watch him play. A master of chords and colors, it was amazing to see and hear his chord voicings and the moods he created. He is greatly missed.
