Oh, and it's actually cheaper for me to have two cars and have one as a daily driver (212bhp Accord Type R!) which STILL works out cheaper than the train and is allot more fun ;)
As for winter tyres. Our Country hasn't quite grasped them yet which is why you see the above. I use winter tyres every year but the mindset in the UK is that you use winter tyres when it snows. Which is obviously incorrect as they should be used below 7*c
@MillyVanillification. No offence. But I imagine most Britains make a wry smile when they read your comment.
Outside of London buses and train services are sporadic and horrendously expensive. Our Government tends to believe our public transport is amazing based on the 'London Bubble'. But the reality is far different. Due to a get-out clause when our railways were privatised it now costs me £15 ($25) a day to take my train ride to work.
@MillyVanillification Yeah. I rely on it. But, in England, everyone freaks out about the snow so everything closes. We just aren't prepared for snow seeing as it's rare. It's not even that bad most of the time. I used to go to school to find it closed because it was FORECASTED to snow. Unreal.
@MillyVanillification yeah but when an inch or so of snow falls the whole country comes to its knees and EVERYTHING shuts down, this includes public transport. its pathetic that places like Germany and the US get tons of snow but still function but we are crippled in far less snow.
