The piece called Wifeing (Theme of Love) by Basil Poledouris from his score to the film "Conan the Barbarian", one of the greatest scores ever and definitely my favourite.

Orchestral piece but performed here on piano...

'Apologies for the mistakes in the performance of this piece. also thanks to stonemaestro and captnflav for the transcriptions, also check out performance vids by stonemaestro, whez08 and keysersozeh' dan(ofsydney)

Basil Poledouris died November 8, 2006

Thankyou Basil for your incredible music, RIP

piano keyboard cover version conan barbarian music basil poledouris guitar great film music ost soundtrack

This music plays during love scene with Valeria and Conan (Sandahl Bergman and Arnold Schwarzenegger), a variation is used for the Funeral Pyre scene

(John Milius directed this awesome epic movie and co-wrote it with Oliver Stone)

If your in Melbourne, Australia, this Sunday at 2_30 pm at the ASTOR Theatre is a concert of film music called "Music from the Movies" put on by the The Victorian Concert Orchestra, they will be playing Anvil of Crom from Conan the Barbarian, (probably the debut orchestra performance of this piece in Australia), I'll be there for sure!

  • Hey, Dan, congratulations! I just began piano lessons two weeks ago, so for me you did great! Also it helped me find the scores of wifeing on the internet. Congrats!

  • Thanks @rodeolca!

  • why is everyone on here trying to sugar coat this sacrilegious nightmare, this is absolutely terrible!...this is not a 6yr old child we are talking about, this is a grown man who deserve to be treated as such,i find it hard to believe that he actually thought he played this piece well

  • If you can read dumbfuck (Parnell50), you would see I had allready stated in my side comments 'Apologies for the mistakes in the performance of this piece'. So YOU saying "i find it hard to believe that he actually thought he played this piece well " is totally illogical

  • awesome job! can you play "theology vs. civilization"? By the way- i also agree that Conan is one of the best soundtracks ever...

  • Thanks usulkane! I dont play "theology civilization" but youtuber kyunthir does, and he does it great

  • Don't you think you should had uploaded the video when you could actually play the piece without errors ? No offence but if you like it as much as you say you do then this is not the way to show that..

  • the world lost the greatest movie film composer ever shame he wasnt recognised even more for his brilliant talent
