Anyway, generally The Irish where not used as slaves to the most part, I know the POOR ones where treated badly but so where the Italians ect..The point I was making is that they where not used as slave labour as much as the blacks and got their rights much much sooner.

@thaboss32 but it wouldn't be quite the, because Muslims are not a RACE, for one, and for another, the proportion of Irish immigrants vis-a-vis the general US population at time was much HIGHER than the proportion of Muslims in the US population now.

Also, the Irish weren't as likely, then, to go screaming "Christ and Begorrah!" and run into a Protestant church with a bomb as Muslims are, now, to go screaming "Allahu Akbar!" as they blow up a church, synagogue or mall.
