Georgetown-St. John's was a real rivalry in the 80's sorta like what you see in the NFC East

I agree with you. I was living in New York at the time and the people there were Georgetown fans including me. Everybody had Hoya jackets and hats. Everybody liked the Hoyas because they were the bad boys and fit the image of new york. I was a huge Patrick Ewing fan

This gtown was the greatest team NOT to win the title.You had a future all-star in reggie williams,future journey man wingate.martin,jackson,ALL could shoot,and were backed up by one of the 5 greatest centers ever!IT TOOK A MIRACLE TO STOP THEM
